This is based on some work I’d previously done when I was in Seattle. I recently found some of what I’d been working on; although some of it was lost.

I’m working on a second piece of music. This one has a long way to go, but I still wanted to give an update on what I was doing – this helps motivate me to keep going on this stuff.
I have two versions – one using the method I’ve been using; and one using compression. Compression is used for music played on the radio – it compresses the amplitude to give a more consistent level. If you’ve ever tuned to a classical station, they typically do *not* compress music, so sometimes it’s very hard to hear the soft parts, and the loud parts are loud…
This is somewhat of a test to see how I like compression, although I will probably start to output both – because hey, you never know, I might actually get radio play one of these days.

I’m still working on this piece, but I thought I’d release a preview version of it for (hopefully) your enjoyment. It’s currently 4:34 in length, and around 8mb to download; the final version will probably bit quite a bit longer, as I plan on playing around with the choir bits quite a bit more.
May take me some time, though – I’m having trouble recording from my keyboard right now (I really need a new system, but that’s a pipe dream for now), so this was all composed (as opposed to recorded and tweaked).
